ONCE UPON A TAIL … a beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog named Bailey.

Bailey was brought into our family as a best friend for our young child. Being a military brat, our child was having difficulty navigating the loneliness and stress of a nomadic lifestyle. Another move meant saying goodbye to friends, comfort, and routines. My spouse and I decided a dog would be exactly what we need to give our child a consistent friend no matter where the military sent us.

We met Bailey as a puppy and from that moment, she has always had a special and unique bond with each member of our family. Adding Bailey to our family has been the best thing we could have done. She's filled her role as best friend, protector, and provides emotion support when things get hard. I would describe Bailey as a treat loving, clumsy but lovable, goofball, who doesn't realize how big she is. She is part of the volunteer neighborhood watch and volunteer neighborhood squirrel patrol. When people meet Bailey one of the first things they say is how much she "smiles." Bailey likes to spend her evenings relaxing at home curled up with her favorite little child bestie and watch "Rescued by Ruby."
